Description
English: The Sydney Cricket Ground, second day of the First Test, England v Australia, 12 December 1903, by Melvin Vaniman. platinum print, State Library of New South Wales, 413018 Notes: date deduced from scoreboard. England won by five runs, aided by the extraordinary debut innings of 287 from R. E. Foster. Foster is the only man to have captained England in both football and cricket.
