Commons:Categories for discussion/2025/10/Category:Festivals by country
Most subcategories in this category follow the "Festivals of country" naming schema, but events are typically categorized as being in a country, not of. Both parent categories (Category:Celebrations by country and Category:Events by country) reflect this, and child categories such as Category:Film festivals by country, Category:Music festivals by country, Category:Dance festivals by country and Category:Art festivals by country also follow the "[Thing] festival in country" schema. It's only the subcats of "Festivals by country" that are an outlier, and I would like to rename these to be consistent with the others. ReneeWrites (talk) 11:13, 29 October 2025 (UTC)
Support Renaming them for consistency, expectable standardized cat names, and accuracy as these are not organized by e.g. the state or even exclusively by people within the country but are all merely located in the country.
